Well made, strong but gentle
This new itteration on their open coil driven concentrate vaporizers is a wonderful step forward. The TGT coils resemble a closed CCell cartridge's internals but with markedly more heating element and a more porous ceramic wick that extends all the way to the edge of the integrated solid ceramic reservoir leading to a system that gets almost completely clean in between fillings without burning the coil. The Material you use it with needs to melt at a relatively low temperature, so not as amazing for your diamonds or shatters if you don't use the warming mode before each session to liquidize the res contents. Best used with batters and waxes or hemp concentrate mixes.
they lost a few features from the evolve line's most recent addition- the Plux XL- Namely the integrated jar at the bottom of the device and the simply alterable airflow... and the device will no longer work while it's charging (a feature I'll sorely miss), though on the other side of the coin, it lasts for about twice as many hits as the Plus XL and charges in about 2 hours from totally dead where the XL would regularly take 4 hours.
the coil does get a little weak towards the end of the battery life, but it's only really noticeable for 3 or 4 uses before it reports to be dead.
this new coil doesn't overheat the reservoir easily, in contrast to the Evolve series which had it's heating elements directly submerged in your material, allowing for overheating and scorching when the voltage is too high, even with the quartz posts to absorb much of that heat. The reservoir tends to get discolored only if it's overfilled or if liquid material is allowed to drip directly down the coil chimney.
the hits are gently but milky. this can be coaxed to deliver hits comparable to the plus XL with proper warming on the highest voltage setting.
lastly, they've finally nailed the center post - to - magnetic cap ratio so the carb cap and coil outsides don't get immediately covered in sticky goo, and they knurled the carb cap too.
when you consider that it's half the price here as on the official site and the proof foils are all there..
you should def get the 5 pack of extra coils if you use wax burners regularly. Do no try to use these coils on any other 510 threaded anything. Instantly burnt a spare coil out on 2v while fooling around. no longer works on the cube battery after that mishap.
